When were transfer factors discovered?
In 1949, Dr. H. Sherwood Lawrence, an immunologist at New York University, discovered that immune system information could be transferred from one individual to another through compounds found in white blood cells. He identified these unique messenger molecules as a “factor” capable of transferring immune intelligence and later coined the term “transfer factor.”
Decades later, in 1998, 4Life Founders David and Bianca Lisonbee licensed the patent to extract transfer factors from cow colostrum, leading to the launch of 4Life Transfer Factor® Classic.
